Your Personality: A Grounding Tool in Times of Swirling Changes and Chaos
Many of us face great change in our lives without the tools to navigate new roads. What if knowing your personality type could help keep you grounded because of the key benefit of knowing who you are? When you understand your cognitive abilities, you give yourself the clarity to approach the swirling changes and chaos that surround you. Even more important is to let our inner self, our soul self, calm the waters and lead the way. Our soul self, our spirit mind, is always tethered to the Divine mind, which offers supernatural ways to overcome the swirling chaos and change. We have to listen, connect, and understand our three-dimensional minds: logical, spiritual, and Divine. Your spirit mind is so wonderful because it is the bridge between the logical and Divine mind.
How often do you miss the signs of the sacred personality as it shares through the spirit mind, specifically signaling whether we’re heading down the right road in life? When you turn into your spirit mind, the higher self, it allows the Divine to share messages. Untainted by human logic, Divine messages flow through the spirit mind and encourage the logical mind to take Divinely inspired action.
Quiet the mind and the soul will speak.” ― Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavita, founder of the Kashi Ashram in Sebastian, Florida
A Few More Change and Chaos Questions to Ponder
If you’re facing times of significant change, do you understand how your personality and cognitive abilities can steer you in the right direction?
If persistent change is part of the foreseeable future, how do you become one with change while finding meaning and purpose in life?
We’ll look at these questions and others. Please know I don’t have all the answers, because, my dear ones, the answers are found within. I’m here to shine a light on what you already know.
We have forgotten what rocks and plants still know – we have forgotten how to be – to be still – to be ourselves – to be where life is here and now. Eckhart Tolle
Replacing False Narratives
Here’s what I’ve learned navigating through my 7-year life tsunami, a time of great challenge, change, and struggle. I realized change was about shedding old values, beliefs, and many external expectations inherited from family, country culture, education, and religious institutions. I had to question inherited thoughts that worked for me in the past but weren’t working anymore. In fact, they were keeping me stuck. These old narratives were dead weight, holding me back from finding my pure potentiality, my truth, my best self – the self that is aligned with the Divine.
My 7-year life tsunami taught me that brokenness and poor mental health eventually knock at your door if you refuse to look at your shadow behaviors – the emotions, actions, and beliefs that are driven by fear and unhealthy, out-of-balance cognitive functions. My journey taught me that when life is unsettling, transformation, evolution, and great spiritual awakenings are around the corner. Today, I see change as a prescription for new perspectives, reinvention, new relationships and careers, and maybe even a new life path. Now that’s exciting.

Seeing Change From a Place of Shedding Old Beliefs
When I use the word change, I’m not talking about changing your personality type, because it is the actual calm in the storm, never changing, always evolving and transforming. The change, I’m talking about is letting go of someone else’s beliefs, values, and expectations, which were never mine to own. When I speak of change, it’s regarding what I believe about myself—my values, virtues, and beliefs. It’s how I show up in the world, which is not only about my personality type (logical mind). Remember, to be at one with yourself, to fully know yourself, you must also focus on the soul self (spirit mind). Make sense?

Journal Prompts to Help Look at Change in a Positive Light
- Are you afraid of change?
- Do you see change as inevitable?
- How do you perceive death?
These aren’t easy questions, but they’re essential to help you rethink change in a meaningful light. You may want to grab a journal, a pad, paper, or whatever you use to take notes. It’s important. Using pencil and paper invites your nonphysical, spiritual energy into the exercise.

My Thoughts On the Question of Change
Answering these questions as journal prompts is an excellent start to seeing change in a positive new light.
Are you afraid of change?
Are you afraid of change, or do you see change as a whisper from Divine Intelligence, urging you to relook at habits, beliefs, values, and unbalances in your personality type? Is the Divine calling you to step into or step up your spiritual practices? A mind-bending shift to seeing change: what if you see change as evolution, a spiritual awakening that will lead to a better life? Can you then let go of the fear of change?
Do You See Change as Inevitable?
I think we can all agree change is inevitable. Just look at Mother Nature. As the days go by, one season flows into another, each season different from the last, but nature makes it appear effortless. What if we could follow the flow of Mother Nature and go with change instead of fighting it?
Here’s the rub. We’ve been programmed by society, culture, religion, and higher education institutions to covet structure and routine. All of these institutions teach change as something to avoid, as it brings uncertainty, insecurity, and chaos. But as time marches on, we eventually realize that nothing in life is without change. What we’re not taught in our external world is how to manage change, how to embrace it, and how to see it as part of this grand adventure we are all on. It’s not something to fear, but something to embrace.
It’s like the caterpillar. We don’t see the total breaking apart of a fuzzy caterpillar into a goo-like substance that takes the shape of a butterfly, which fights its way out of the cocoon and emerges as a beautiful and fascinating creative. Change is a metamorphosis, a time of personal growth and transformation.
Do you see how inevitable change can be a beautiful thing, an invitation to your best self?
How do you perceive death?
This a difficult question for many. We are taught, primarily by religious institutions, to fear death. That when we leave the planet, we are no more and our existence is erased. I don’t believe this for one minute. In fact, I think we are eternal spiritual beings, on earth to experience life to overcome our fears and to evolve our souls, and the only way to do this is to embark on a human journey. I see death as our graduation day. Yeah, we made it. It’s a time of celebration and transition to the spiritual realm from whence we came.
Here’s another mind-bending thought. What if, in another’s passing, we build a nonphysical, spiritual relationship with those who’ve transitioned? When I was ten, my mother taught me, “Just because you can’t see something (someone) doesn’t mean they’re not real?” Wise words indeed.
You know I’m going to say it. These are my opinions, take what you need and leave the rest.
So How Can You Be Strong When Change Swirls Around You?
One of the best ways to stay strong when change swirls around you is to know your personality type intimately. Your personality type is a benchmark. It’s a stronghold in a sea of change. It will always indicate when a trait is out of alignment; triggers related to your personality type will indicate an unbalanced cognitive function.
Please know that Spiritual Personality Typing doesn’t just look at your functional stack as the ordering of cognitive functions. What do I mean by this? Divine Intelligence gifted you with a personality type to be used as a whole, not as disparate pieces. Yes, your functional stack operates from the most used to the least used, but you must also have an understanding of the capabilities of each function and their impact on your personality type. You’ll be thrilled to know that every function comes with a powerful spiritual intention! WOW! Reread this because you won’t see this explanation on another blog about personality typing!
Your personality type is one of the most amazing psychological tools. It’s free, and all you have to do is have the desire to know yourself and claim it as the valuable tool it was intended to be! If you don’t understand this, here’s how it works in a nutshell. You choose your personality type to support your soul’s evolution. Your soul self, your higher self, expresses itself on the physical plane through your sacred personality. Another WOW!
When you don’t understand your personality type or if it’s unhealthy, your soul cannot express itself through your persona. Love and fear are like oil and water; they don’t mix. When you forgo the nonphysical aspects of who you are, it increases anxiety, and the chaotic changing world around you becomes a fear playground.
The unexamined life is not worth living. – SOCRATES
Stepping Into Positive Change
It’s not easy to overcome decades of programming. Our false belief systems have trained us to compete, fight, persist, separate from our truth, change who we really are, and belong to systems that don’t honor our true selves. Today, many of us are awakening to our truth, and the Great Resignation and a resurgence in God and spirituality are signs that people are awakening and looking for their truth.
Take the first steps to see change in a more positive light:
- Commit to understanding yourself—an essential step. It means not blaming another or being a victim of your circumstances. Engage in daily spiritual practices, such as meditation, journaling, getting out in nature, or reading spiritual texts. Click here to learn meditation for beginners.
- Take a personality test if you don’t know your type. Here are a few places offering free tests: Truity, Personality Max, and 16 Personalities. Also, I offer mentoring sessions to help you correctly identify your sacred personality type. Book early, as they are popular and I’m only one person.
- Begin to study your dominant trait, or as I call it, your Essential Self. Ahh, your superpowers unraveled. Study it with an open mind. It may be unbalanced, which is a common occurrence. If so, this post will help you become more aware of your type’s superpowers.
