Traditional MBTI Interpretations of Feeling and Thinking Traits
Thinking (T) and Feeling (F) preference pairs refer to how you make decisions, either by objective logic (T) or subjective feeling (F). Thinking and Feeling are opposite preferences. A person’s natural tendency toward one will be stronger than the other.
Thinking types make decisions based on facts. Their head typically rules them instead of their heart. Thinking people judge situations and others based on logic and value facts over tact, are critical thinkers, and tend to be terrific problem-solvers. It doesn’t mean thinkers are without emotion.
Feeling types make decisions based on principles and values, often ruled by their heart instead of their minds. People who use a feeling function judge situations and others based on feelings, beliefs, values, and what they think is true. They seek to please others and want to be appreciated and strive for harmony and empathy. Feelers do think, but it’s not based on logic. It’s based on how they feel.

Feeling and Thinking Traits from a Spiritual Perspective
When you embrace the nonphysical aspects of self, the Self, connected to the Divine, you’ll begin to realize how you really feel about something is your absolute truth. Therefore, feelings can be seen as soul consciousness bringing your truth to your reality, and they can also be memories. When combining both feeling elements, you become more of who you really are. Powerful, right?
From a spiritual perspective, what if we think inspired thoughts that get us closer to our truth instead of collapsing into thoughts of another? So many of us take action from reactive thoughts. Thinking thoughts programmed by others leads us to a life narrated by another. We’ve inhaled life experiences expressed by them; therefore, we become an expression of them!
Again, embracing the nonphysical aspect of yourself allows for outstanding communication between you and the Divine: the Source of unlimited creativity. Why not tap into that creativity instead of relying on reactivating old thinking patterns? WOW – mind blow!

The Importance of Feeling and Thinking Traits in Becoming “Who You Desire To Be”
Which personality types, feelers or thinkers, have an edge? They both do as each trait is foundational in opening you up to become who you really are, and both are necessary on the journey to the true Self!
Are you starting to understand if you allow your nonphysical self: you’re intuition, imagination, the non-logical factors of yourself, to lead your life, that things will begin to shift in favor of your true Self, the who of who you really are?
Of course, I know this new perspective may be easy to express. Living it is a whole other story. I know this to be true as my 7-year life tsunami told me so. These challenging times exposed layer upon layer of my false self, revealing the pretender, pleaser, and a wanna-be of grand proportions.
I didn’t even realize it, as I believed the external world and its philosophies were my truth. I hid from negative emotions, staying as busy as possible: running, overindulging, and side-stepping every challenge.
A Quick Exercise To Use When Negativity Clouds Decision-Making
This was once me, and maybe it’s you too? Are you running around or thinking to yourself, I’m in tune spiritually? A thought that negative ideas that come to me have no place in my life? What? A false belief. If this is happening to you, I’m answering the why, offering a quick exercise to get you closer to your truth.
– What is the driving thought behind a harmful or destructive thought or idea? A new way to look at life challenges is to realize each negative challenge is a trigger from your body/mind, a personality trait is unhealthy, or an inherited belief influences and overrides who you really are.
Journal Prompt Exercise
Take time to journal on the driving thought. What’s behind the negative belief or challenge? It’s maybe a denied or repressed emotion you believe is harmful,
