The Best Wellness Retreat For Your Personality Type

Here’s a delicious idea, let’s determine the best wellness retreat for your personality type. I think we can all honestly say, life seems to be more of a struggle these days. The good news is travel is always the best classroom for self discovery.

And who doesn’t need a well-deserved vacation. It’s a respite, from routines, and the demands of a chaotic world? If you want to avoid a wellness retreat disaster, choosing the right retreat based on your personality type is a must.

There’s a New Way To Travel

I’m passionate about a new way to travel. Travel as therapy, to help you return home somehow transformed by the experience. I believe travel is the perfect time to set intentions, and become more conscious; an observer of who you are. If you’ve never observed yourself in a newly discovered situation, it’s fascinating and revealing. Setting intentions is a more conscious way to holiday. Trust me you’ll return home ….

Feeling better about yourself.

More in tune with yourself.

Understanding what you want.

You’ve ignited the creative spark within.

You’re revitalized and ready to tackle life from a newly emerging perspective.

Say YES to a wellness retreat? It could literally be a spa that’s right around the corner, no need for a far-flung destination!

Let’s me help you match your personality type with the correct wellness getaway ⏤  to make your soul sing. I’ve made it easy to do so. Just keep on reading to discover the best retreat for your type.

Why trust me; I’ve been studying spirituality since my 20’s and I’ve taken the last 10 years, and counting to immerse myself in Myers-Briggs. And yes, I’m a certified Myers-Briggs practitioner. The back story is a long one you can read it here. But suffice to say, a  life tsunami helped me reinvent my life and figured out how to bring 1940’s typology into today’s modern era. In fact I wrote a book about it: Unpack Your Personality: Let Your Inner Guide Be Your Travel Guide. Grab your copy here.

Did You Forget to Pack Your Personality Type?

Here’s the rub. Many of us are eager to travel, yet we don’t think about what we genuinely desire, want or need. Do you know how to make your retreat getaway restorative, sumptuous, and sublime?

Do you take the prescriptive route; search, pack and stay. Or do you brave the mind-numbing Google search? Are you spending countless hours scrolling to see what’s trending or you text message a friend – “Hey, what’s the name of the retreat you went to a few years back that you raved about?”

Sound familiar? The point is we can reach out, and research until we are blue in the face. What’s the point if you don’t know yourself?

Wanting to reform the world without discovering one’s true self is like trying to cover the world with leather to avoid the pain of walking on stones and thorns. It’s much simpler to wear shoes. The Hindu Sage – Ramana Maharshi

You Can’t Discover Your Favorite Wellness Treat if You’ve Not Discovered Your Personality Type

But what if your friend isn’t 100% compatible with your personality type? And seriously, what does Google know about you beyond the superficial stuff? The same could be said for your favorite Insta feed. Yes, even if you admire who they are.

The point is nobody knows you better than you.

And nobody knows what you need better than you.

So why do we consistently ignore ourselves and search externally for answers?

That’s a big question for another time. Yet, I bring it up because it’s an amazing #journal prompt.

What is the Most Important Tool In Your Spirituality Toolbox?

What if we spent an hour or two thinking about our needs, not our partners, kids, or friends, just your needs? Asking ourselves: what would make me over the moon happy? What does that vacation look like?

For many people, these answers don’t come easy. It’s because we don’t know what we want. Believe me; I know this to be true. Over the years, I spoke with hundreds of travelers, and 80% didn’t know themselves. Nor could they articulate what they wanted out of life. They thought they did, but their sadness, anger, and anxiety told another story.

When I questioned these travelers, the vast majority didn’t know their personality type. Trust me; it’s one of the most vital tools in your spirituality toolbox. Learning this will change your life dramatically. Your mind – personality type – is the supportive tool your soul needs to complete its mission here on earth. The mind should always follow the soul, and let its higher ideals inform your life.

And yet, we’ve been programmed to believe the soul follows the mind. Reprogram this stinking thinking as it’s a FALSE BELIEF.

So I have to ask, do you know your personality type?

Discovering Your Personality is the Path to Wellness

So many of us believe a wellness retreat will solve our problems and take away our stress, unworthiness, and need to please … I don’t want to burst your bubble, but I probably will because I want you to figure yourself out.

Don’t you want to live a big, fat, juicy extraordinary life?

The life your soul has planned for you!

It’s waiting for you to wake-up and realize the external world doesn’t hold the answers to your life questions. You do!

If you can embrace the belief that the mind serves the soul, you’ll need to release the fear baked and conditioned ideas that keep us tied to a world of fear. When this happens, your mind will automatically leap to a higher consciousness, so you’ll longer be stuck in the routine of fear, loneliness, or self-doubt.

Is Higher Consciousness Available 24/7

I don’t believe anyone at this point in time is adept at staying in higher consciousness 24/7. It’s not possible. We live in a dualistic world where fear reigns and seeps into our minds like a dripping faucet. Is it possible to shorten visits to the unconscious mind with extended stays in higher consciousness? I believe to do so you need to understand:

  • The soul is guided by the Divine who has a plan for your life,
  • The spirit mind whispers Divinely guided messages that enliven your personality traits,
  • This inspires Divinely guided actions which helps you discover your sacred path and live a meaningful, purposeful and joyful life.

It’s a life guided by the illumination of the soul self, which always has our best interests at heart. It illuminates why we do what we do, based on who we really are. I’ve created spiritual personality typing because I believe we choose our sacred personality based on the strengths and weaknesses of our specific type. Personality traits are the building blocks of our human characteristics; foundational. They lead us to our truth, the true self, and where there is truth, passion and purpose are found. I’ve used spiritual personality typing for a decade to untangle myself from the fear matrix –– and it works!
