4. Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Ohio

While Cleveland and Akron Ohio, seem far away, as the Cuyahoga Valley National Park envelopes in a refuge of native plants and wildlife, and provides routes of discovery for visitors. The winding Cuyahoga River gives way to deep forests, rolling hills, and open farmlands. Walk or ride the Towpath Trail to follow the historic route of the Ohio and Erie Canal. Blue Hen Falls is a beautiful 15-foot (~4.6 meter) tall waterfall in Cuyahoga Valley National Park that cascades over a stone cliff into a small pool of water below. Park at the Boston Mill Visitor Center and then hike 1.25 miles
