Fall a beautiful season for renewal. It’s a time to reevaluate yourself, regardless of your personality type, and to celebrate Mother Nature’s colorful call to let go. Forests magically flip a switch, transforming their leaves from emerald green to butterscotch yellows, crimson reds, and fiery oranges. This is the time of year when the mountains invite us to enjoy long leaf-peeping weekends. Nature gently reminds us of a universal principle: we must shed something to grow.
Journal Prompt: Breathe in the crisp fall air, settle in, and journal about what you are ready to let go of during this fall season.
Letting Go Ignites a Beautiful Fall Season For Renewal
Letting Go!
As we watch the fall leaves flutter to the ground, they remind us that nature’s cycles mirror our own life cycles. Autumn is a time for letting go and releasing things we struggle with—values and beliefs that no longer serve us, as well as people, places, and things that no longer support our journey of self-betterment.
One of Life’s Simple Rhythms
One of life’s simple rhythms is slowing down. When we wind down, we allow our minds to process what we’ve experienced. The hustle subsides, doing transforms into being, and we discover what’s truly important: family, friends, a meaningful career, and time for self-discovery. It’s a mindset and a different lifestyle—a simpler way to live. The old saying, “slow and steady wins the race,” is a mantra I’m embracing this fall and beyond.
In the season of fall, we’re reminded to let go of what we’ve outgrown; old habits and beliefs, or even stuff that clutters our homes. Which eventually clutters our minds, Nina Zapala, Author & Founder of Spiritual Personality Typing.
Composting Our Minds
While the leaves blanket the ground and slowly decay, they ultimately provide a nutritious treat for the roots of the trees. The composted leaves feed the tree roots and sustain them during the cold, dark winter days.
Think of composting as a way of letting go of negativity. Just as the decaying leaves nurture the trees, our own positive thoughts nurture our hearts and mental well-being. Releasing makes room for brand-new healthy habits and genuine beliefs to bloom. You’ll feel the anxiety and anger lift, albeit slowly. However, if you keep at it, maybe by spring, you’ll be in full bloom. Why not try it? If it doesn’t work, you can return to the old way of being.
It’s a free-will thing!
Five Beautiful Fall Affirmations
Please know that I understand how challenging it is to change. I’ve spent many nights curled up in a ball, crying my eyes out, over-drinking, overspending, and blaming others. The crying helped because it got me in touch with my feelings, while the physical indulgences only made me feel worse—fuzzy-minded and in credit card debt. Plus, I learned that blaming others is utterly useless.
1. Choose Joy
What could bring you joy today? Focus on the simple things: beautiful fall foliage, a warm cup of cider, or carving a pumpkin. Ultimately, all of these little moments will accumulate to create joy. What won’t? Superficial things.
2. Choose to Be Kind
MANTRA: I am kind. I treat myself and others with kindness. When you focus your intention on being kind to yourself and to others—holding the door for someone, saying thank you, being the first to say hello—watch how easily these acts of kindness return to you. Know that it’s your spirit mind listening, responding, and showing you the way!
Embrace kindness as a mantra in both business and on vacation. It will take you places you never imagined.
3. Commit to Knowing Your Spiritual Personality Type
Get to know your primary personality trait. It holds many secrets to help you overcome life’s struggles: fear of making decisions, feelings of being overwhelmed, and the tendency to please others. All of your isms can be unlocked by exploring your personality traits. Want my opinion on which of the 16 personality types you are? 🧐 Click here.
4. Fall Colors Are Calling You #JournalPrompts
Mother Nature has always been my refuge, and I’ve come to embrace HER as a calming friend. As you look at the colors in nature, which colors call to you? What are they trying to tell you? If you want to dive deep; Amanda Ellis is an intuitive of color therapy. Click here for more.
Red: The fiery, passionate you. Have you lost your passion, or are you in passion overload—over the top without a plan for slowing down?
Orange: Represents the freeing of the body and mind, supporting a deeper understanding of what you need for optimum physical health. Consider your aches and pains: what are they trying to tell you? Notice when the pain lessens and worsens—who are you with, what are you doing, and what feelings are arising?
Gold: Symbolizes logical thought and spiritual discernment, which, when integrated, bring you the wisdom of your true Self. What separates you from gold is a lack of discernment, reliance on your false self, and succumbing to negativity and doubt.
Brown: Earthy and rooted in connectivity and reliability. It’s about groundedness, safety, and a sense of belonging. Which areas of your life—belonging, grounding, and safety—need your attention? What small steps can you take today?
5. Walk Into Fall With A Daily Mantra
To receive spiritual enlightenment, you need to listen with your spiritual ears. And don’t expect answers, signs, or symbols in unconventional ways. I seem to find feathers weekly. It’s my angels letting me know I’m on the right path.
Today, with so much chaos in the world, instead of turning to fear connect with the Divine Intelligence within and ask for guidance. I use this mantra: “Divine, in this time of profound transformation, show me the right path for me.”
