How to make your next vacation unforgettable in one simple step? The key is to select experiences that resonate with your higher-self, your; your personal travel guide, your higher-consciousness concierge. It starts with setting an intention and stopping for a moment to question, what it is you really want.
How your ask?
You have to question yourself? What is it that I want from my vacation? A few soul prompts to ideate your intentions:
- What could a native culture teach me about myself?
- May you need a free time to play because your work environment is highly stressful? The rub is to choose a place that is welcoming not anxiety producing.
- You may want to indulge in classes or experiences to reconnect back to yourself; wellness, art, cooking classes…
My debut book: Unpack Your Personality is for those with a desire to travel intentional, and wander the road of self-discovery. It’s a roadmap to your wise inner guide; your personal travel guide, your higher-consciousness concierge.

Unpack Your Personality To Make Your Next Vacation Unforgettable
Before you pack your bags, take a moment to unpack your personality. Many of us just jump on our smartphones or begin a Google search which can cause “choice fatigue” and if we don’t know what we are looking for it’s a time suck. Unforgettable travel doesn’t start with a ‘top ten list’ in my opinion these are just distractions. What you must do is understand how your personality type shows up in the world. This is key.
Secondly do you know how you make decisions, and gather information to get clear on what you like and don’t like. Here’s micro look at personality indicators:
Perceiving traits gather information paramount in the decision making process. Here are the two ways:
– Sensing Types: Gather information based on the external world of their five senses, paying attention to practical implications and real-world consequences. This type of information gathering keeps individuals i the present moment, more reactive and builds relationships with the world around them.
– Intuitive Types: Gather information looking at patterns, opportunities and possibilities and create connections between these theory based ideas. This type of information gathers in open-ended and typically considers long-term possibilities and potential outcomes; a ponderer vs. reacting.
Judging traits indicate how you make decisions after you’ve gathered your information. Here’s how different judging traits accomplish this:
– Thinking Types: Focus on logical analysis and objectivity. Often using a structured approach to evaluate pros and cons of each situation; more objective and can often be a more rationalized or fairer approach to decision making.
-Feeling Types: Consider the emotional impact and values involved in each choice. Utilize empathy to understand how decisions affect themselves and others. It’s a balance logic locked into personal values for decision making.
So How Do You Make Your Next Vacation Unforgettable
What are you seeking? Laughter with friends, solitude for reflection, new adventures? Knowing your “truth” is key to transforming a trip into an unforgettable experience. Truth in travel begins within, listening to your soul, your higher mind, and let your journey be a reflection of the answers received. These knowings become your planning tool. Tip: Don’t start with Google end there, start with what your higher mind is telling you.
Start your journey of self-discovery today—because the best destinations are the ones that align with your truth. 💖
Here are a few soul – journal prompts to get you started:
– What’s calling you to travel?
– Can travel help you unravel help you see a certain problem in your life in a different light?
– What is the best place to visit that would provide the most benefit from my time away…
Grab your journal and see what arises. If nothing does, then don’t decide. Maybe now isn’t the time for a vacation maybe you just need a micro-getaway-day where you visit a neighboring town, phones turned off and you take the day for fun and play. Or you get an answer to one of the questions (do create your own questions for a more soul-centric response) and not the rest. In this instance focus on what that answer is trying to tell you. Maybe it isn’t travel, maybe it’s a day of self-care or time spent with a loved one without managing the details of a vacation.
Only you know. Take the time to figure it out, your soul, higher mind always knows what you need for unforgettable experiences.

Spiritual Personality Typing Is Designed To Make Your Vacation Unforgettable
My recent vacation with Nicole, my ESFJ Mobile bestie, (the Attentive traveler), was a joy-filled fun day. What I love about traveling with her is she accepts and knows I need intellectual stimulation appreciating my fondness for soulful conversations. She patiently waits for me, while she prefers brief, engaging social interactions; flitting from store to store, spreading her enthusiasm and then moving along to the next thing on her list. Psst…ESFJ’s, really are social butterflies. What I love about traveling with her is seeing how differently she experiences things. It’s always perspective-shifting.
Here are a few ways ESFJs (Attentive travelers) and ENTPs, (Curious travelers) create unforgettable getaways.
Socially
ESFJs make friends everywhere they go. Enjoying cultural and group activities. For ENTPs, group travel really isn’t their thing. They seek to explore, challenge and shift their perceptions, which is why the desire soulful conversations. Together, they can create a balanced social experience. ESFJs facilitate connection while ENTPs bring depth to conversations.
Planning vs Spontaneity
ESFJs typically prefer structure and planning, organizing activities with a need to make sure everyone’s needs are met. ENTPs are more spontaneous and flexible, often responding positively to unexpected adventures. This collaboration allows for a well-organized vacation with room for exciting detours and discoveries.
Activities
ESFJs enjoy a variety of activities, social interaction and sensory experiences are a must. ENTPs complement these activities by proposing unconventional or intellectually stimulating opportunities that challenge both travelers to step out of their comfort zones.

A Few Unforgettable Moments on Rue Magnolia
Activities Nicole and I sampled while exploring Rue Magnolia. I just love the French influence in this part of Coastal Mississippi, it’s colorful energy, complex and story rich and the warmth of the people you meet along the way makes for a memorable time.
Greenhouse Biloxi: We dropped in and the place was packed. Full of locals, a rich southern charm, and walls adorned with local art. If you love hand batched biscuits stuffed with locally farm deliciousness then you must drop in for the biscuit de jour!
Dime Store Diva a Petite Boutique: Owner, Leonie Johnston, has gorgeous hats; one even made it to England for a royal event. Plus she carries unique, colorful; fashion you won’t find elsewhere. And if you look in the mirror and think I need a haircut, you can do that too. It’s a quirky, fun place to shop.
Gallery 782-Co Art: As you walk into this historic building you get a sense of serenity, and have an opportunity to explore the works of 45 local artists. Each has a very unique personality which comes to life through design, color, and their take on art. One artist we met was Dorea E. Ross Arguelles; a native of Biloxi who creates gorgeous pottery weaving together pine needles and clay. Her work is both unique and gorgeous and very affordable.
Visit the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art, (OOMA ) Voted 2018 Best Museum: Gallery in the state of Mississippi and one of the 25 Best in the U.S. by the American Art Awards. OOMA is nestled under the grand oaks along the picture-perfect Mississippi Sound. A charming locale with a treasure trove of art and architecture designed by the renowned Frank O. Gehry. You’ll discover the whimsical ceramics of George E. Ohr, the Mad Potter of Biloxi alongside contemporary and historic exhibits. As a Smithsonian affiliate, this museum is a southern treasure, offering a warm welcome to all who visit. Grab a sweet tea and enjoy the beauty of one of Biloxi’s finest cultural gems.
Mary Mahoney’s Old French House Restaurant: Nichole couldn’t wait to experience what three generations have been bragging about for decades. Hollywood has its “ Walk of Fame” but Coastal Mississippi as Mary Mahoney’s. From presidents, to NFL superstars to movie stars, Mary has been serving their award winning recipes for over 50 years. Rodney Dangerfield and Chris Rock have had a few laughs here, Emerial Lagasse and Paul Dean drooled over their entrees while Denzel Washington ordered 10 gallons of Mahoney gumbo for a cast party…the list of who’s who is long. If you’re in town don’t skip Mary Mahoney’s.
While ESFJs tend to focus on the present moment and create fun and entertaining experiences, ENTPs tend to analyze and reflect on their trip lingering on their experiences long after the bags are unpacked. Find more in my debut book: Unpack Your Personality
What Makes For An Unforgettable Vacation: Reflection and Growth
While ESFJs tend to focus on the present moment and create fun and unforgettable experiences. While ENTPs tend to analyze and reflect on their trip lingering upon experiences long after the bags are unpacked. As trip mates: ESFJs create light-hearted moments while ENTPs appreciate deeper discussions centered around intellectual stimulation.
May I suggest you bring a pocket journal (a phone works but it’s best to use a pencil and paper) and jot down notes. Travel reflection is essential for integrating the transformative and powerful aspects of travel into your everyday life. Ask yourself:
– Take time during and after your trip to reflect on your experiences.
– How have your experiences changed you?
– What insights have you gained about yourself?
– Why were these moments, experiences and places special?
– How can you bring more of this into your life?
