How to Build Trust in Seasons of Change: Part Two is a follow-up to last week’s blog discussion, “How to Use Personality Preferences to Build Trust.” As many of you know, I’m a personality-type enthusiast, and I believe it to be a remarkable tool for navigating modern-day necessities and fostering spiritual understanding by tapping into our spiritual senses.
Personality typing reveals specific characteristics, patterns, behaviors, and attributes of human nature. In my ten years of studying personality typing, I’ve often felt that current resources on the topic fail to embrace the spiritual aspects of the self—those Divine elements that include the unseen realms of intuition, gut instincts, serendipity, surprises, and trust in Divine Intelligence. I believe we have a human self (physical/ego mind) and the nonphysical soul self (spirit-fed mind, a higher self). When these two aspects work in unison, they embody your true self. Think of it as a sacred union of Self.
Trust In Seasons of Change
This post adds a spiritual component to trust, providing a clearer picture of how trust works from the perspective of your higher consciousness, the soul self—the place of intuition, gut instincts, serendipity, and the realm of the unseen. It’s where your spiritual senses come alive.

One Thing To Be Sure of Are the Seasons of Change
Seasons are the songs of Mother Nature—spring begets summer, summer begets fall, and fall begets winter. These nurturing songs flow with color, texture, context, and blessings, forever changing. Trust in the knowledge that change is coming.
Just like nature, we all inevitably face seasons of change. Yet, unlike Mother Nature, we grip tightly to what we know, believing it’s the only way. We fear the unknown until our grip gets so tight that it cuts us off from the world. For some, the grip remains. For others, it loosens, allowing us to open ourselves up to change.
Letting go of the grip that keeps you stuck begins with taking small steps toward trust. Each step enables us to see new outcomes taking shape, bringing us a fresh start and a life beyond our imaginations.
Please know that change doesn’t have to be negative. We must shift our minds away from cultural conditioning, as these ideas go against the law of change. A joy-filled life is nourished by change, which doesn’t mean you accept every change that comes your way. No. You have discernment and can rely on your personality indicators and messages from Divine consciousness, which you can always trust, to embrace new intentions, manifestations, and desires.
Trust in Divine Timing to Reap the Richest Rewards Nina Zapala, Founder the Soul’s Role in Personality Typing.
Trust And Divine Timing is a Match Made In Heaven
A liberating lesson I learned during my seven-year life tsunami is to trust in Divine timing, which I genuinely believe is a match made in heaven. I have countless experiences that confirm this.
In the Western world, we are taught to hurry up and get things done. We’re told there’s no time like the present—do more, be more, have more, see more. While there’s a point to that, when we rush through life, we miss the opportunity to trust what it could be because we’re too busy doing.
It’s like telling a caterpillar, “You have 48 hours to go from a chrysalis (a cocoon) into a butterfly. If you’re not ready, I’ll break open the cocoon.” If you break open a chrysalis before it’s time, you’ll find an unrecognizable blob. The caterpillar has to undergo a profound transformation to become a beautiful butterfly. If you rush, you may end up with nothing or lesser outcomes.
Trust in Divine timing to reap the richest rewards. Embrace patience and understand that the best is yet to come. This may be harder for some personalities than for others (me 🤪), but cultivating a spiritual practice to minimize impatience can be a beautiful gift if you recognize this about yourself.
I share a recent personal story on YouTube on trusting Divine timing.
Trust only movement. Life happens at the level of events, not of words. Trust movement. Alfred Adler, Individual Psychology
My Experience of Loss and How Trust Became Actionable
Finding my way through my 7-year life tsunami took me on a journey of trust. Trust became action steps, those I needed to take to move forward. Trust can’t be passive. It requires action, which brings energy to move you forward.
I began to “trust” the wisdom of my inner spark of Divine consciousness, the higher aspect of my being, which worked to guide me into my true SELF. Today, I defer to my inner spark before making decisions. As a human being, I am not without fault, but I’ve committed to making decisions always guided by the Divine spark of consciousness within.
The liberating lesson I learned is when I don’t trust this spark, all hell breaks loose, but it’s usually smooth sailing when I do.
Do you often hear, see, or feel something beyond the five senses? Are you likely to ignore it, or do you trust it? I ask you to start examining your spiritual insights, as they are the spark of Divine consciousness communicating with you. Trust them.

Your Response to Building Trust In Seasons of Change Determines Destiney
How I responded to the question of trust determined my destiny.
At first, I didn’t respond well at all. I lost hope, living in chaos and trying to break through the walls of discouragement. Like a bank of fog, change surrounded me so thick I couldn’t see if I was coming or going. Loss and death were the headliners in my life during my time of awakening.
Everything I knew changed in an instant. I was in the chrysalis phase, where nothing made sense. I didn’t know who I was, where I was going, or how to get there. The only thing I knew was despair, hopelessness, and its unknowingness.
Yes, it was terrifying, and yes, it was uber challenging. Complaining, fault-finding, blaming, and playing the victim didn’t change a darn thing.
I decided to step off the hamster wheel of life, as I had nothing to lose. Quieting the mind became a time of reckoning and questioning. I began to see how my 7-year life tsunami resulted from not trusting myself.
For my sake and my son’s, I began to take action.
This was the dawn of a new morning practice. A time I spent reading spiritual texts, saying gratitude prayers, and taking long peaceful meditative dog walks. I would pray, meditate and journal daily. If I didn’t get an answer, I’d stay put; if I did, I’d take action.
When I took action based on a Divine message, things miraculously began to happen. People would show up. I’d get cooperation from the most unlikely places, and the women in my neighborhood started to gather around me, supporting me in ways that were beyond what I even knew I needed.
Taking inspired actions led by the spark of Divine consciousness ignited my spiritual senses, helping me build trust. It gave me confidence, courage, and clarity to keep on going to embrace this season of enormous change. I came to acknowledge that I’m held in the arms of Divine consciousness.
A great awakening unfolded right before my eyes. It can, for you too.
