Is what we know to be our truth really our own? In this blog we will explore an emerging typology: The Soul’s Role In Personality Typing or if you prefer Spiritual Personality Typing.
Understand, We all carry a version of “truth” inside of us. A set of inherited beliefs, values, and stories that we believe define who we are. But have you ever stopped to question where these truths come from? Is it something we’ve independently cultivated, or is it something shaped by external influences—family, culture, media, society? What if the truth we hold so dearly isn’t really ours to own?
The idea of truth is complex and multifaceted. Many of us go through life assuming that the way we see the world, the way we interpret our experiences, and the beliefs we uphold are purely individual—unique to us. But what if our truth is largely a byproduct of our life experiences based on the influence of others.
We often believe our truths are our own but if you think about it; where did these values and ideas come from? Our own prior experiences and how we experienced the circumstances or situations we found ourselves in?
Is What We Know To Be Our Truth Really Our Own: Exploring Spiritual Personality Typing
An emerging and counter-intuitive way to explore this question is through the lens of spiritual personality typing. While conventional personality tests like Myers-Briggs or the Enneagram are often based on psychological traits, spiritual personality typing focuses on deeper, metaphysical aspects of our being. It’s not just about how we think or feel, but about the frequency energies that influence us from a soul level. This perspective suggests that our truth isn’t simply a product of our upbringing or environment, but rather a reflection of our deeper spiritual archetype. I believe this to be the Divine spark within us all, that always guides us on our purpose path.
This post dives into how spiritual personality typing reveals a more profound “unconventional truth” than the one we’ve been conditioned to believe.

Defining the Soul’s Role In Personality Typing?
Spiritual personality typing involves recognizing the energetic and metaphysical patterns that influence our outer world; it’s the soul expressing a higher consciousness through our personality type. Unlike traditional psychological frameworks that categorize behavior and thought patterns, spiritual personality typing delves into the unique spiritual blueprint that is unique to each person.
The concept behind this idea is that every person’s soul is unique to them. Just like a fingerprint is, but the soul is unlike any other in the universe. It’s your eternal spirit essence. Yet here on earth, it’s your higher conscious self. A combination of energies, tendencies, and archetypal patterns that define their soul’s journey in this lifetime. Remember, the soul uses the distinct traits of your personality to complete its earthly mission.
When the personality is unexamined or overrun by the ego – false self, it will not align with what the soul desires.. For example, we might think of ourselves as a certain “type” based on traits we’ve developed or learned over time, but spiritually, your soul wants to express something completely different.
This is when conflict, challenges, doubt, fear arise. It’s our soul working hard to engage us in an awakening journey. It’s sending an invitation to see ourselves as the glorious beings we are not just as our minds and bodies but as beings connected to a greater, universal consciousness.
How Is Truth Shaped by Spiritual Typology?
To understand how spiritual personality typing can reveal a deeper truth, let’s explore the concept of spiritual archetypes. I’ve listed a few of the universal truths, below as these are the pillars of spiritual personality types:
Oneness,
Attraction,
Inspired action,
Energy in motion leads to transformation,
Cause and Effect,
Compensation
Relativity…
For instance, the Seeker Type (INFP) represents someone who is always searching for deeper meaning and truth, while the Attentive types (ESFJ) naturally treat everyone with dignity and respect, a champion of diplomacy, generosity, and philanthropy–a true leader. The Assured Type, ambassadors of ambition, while Abstract types are highly artistic, individualistic and see these things as priceless aspects of self
Each of these types relate to a highly individualized soul energy. One that helps us navigate how we interpret and experience the world around us. Your spiritual truth, then, might not be shaped by what you’ve been taught in school, what your friends believe, or even what you’ve personally experienced in the material world. Instead, your “truth” may come from the energetic archetype that your soul embodies.
This means that the core truth of who you are is not always something you can logically define or understand through purely earthly means. It’s not something you’ve been conditioned to believe. It’s more like a remembering—a deep, soul-level knowing that exists beyond your conscious awareness.

Is Our Truth Really Our Own?
If our spiritual truth is rooted in universal archetypes and energies, it stands to reason that much of what we consider our “truth” is influenced by something greater than ourselves. From this perspective, what we think is our truth may actually be a mixture of learned behaviors, inherited beliefs, and external conditioning.
Here’s the kicker: many of us live our lives thinking we are fully in charge of our own beliefs and realities. We think our opinions, preferences, and experiences are entirely self-created. But when we start to explore the world of spiritual personality typing, we begin to see that much of what we identify as our truth may be influenced by energies beyond our conscious control.
For example, if you identify with a particular spiritual archetype, you might find that your “truth” has always been shaped by that energy. The Seeker might always feel that something is missing in life, as if they are on a constant quest for meaning. while Attentive types (ESFJ) naturally treat everyone with dignity and respect, sometimes at the expense of their own well-being. The Assured Type, ambassadors of ambition, might be seen as dictators when they don’t align with their soul-fed purpose path. Abstract types often view people who oppose creativity and soulful expression as misguided.
If we look at these archetypes, we can see that the truth of who we are isn’t simply about what we believe or what we think we want in life. It’s about how our soul’s essence expresses itself in the world. And because this truth often lies beneath the surface, we might spend our lives chasing after the wrong goals or trying to fit into boxes that don’t truly align with our spiritual path.
Finding Your Own Truth Through Spiritual Personality Typing
So, how do we move from a place of external influence to discovering a deeper, spiritual truth? The first step is to acknowledge and question the truth we know. Realize they may not be fully our own. In fact, it might be time to unlearn some of the conditioning that has shaped our identity.
Here are a few ways spiritual personality typing can help guide you on this path:
- Self-Reflection: Spend time reflecting on your life’s patterns. Do you often feel a deep, inexplicable pull toward certain activities, people, or causes? What archetypes or spiritual energies resonate with you the most? Consider journaling or meditating on the patterns that emerge.
- Embrace Your Soul’s Blueprint: Understand that you are not just your mind or your personality. You are a soul with a unique spiritual blueprint. If you find yourself struggling with what you think your truth should be, connect with your soul’s deeper essence through practices like meditation, breathwork, or energy healing.
- Let Go of External Expectations: Much of what we think is our truth is shaped by the expectations of others. Start questioning the societal norms and expectations that you’ve internalized. Are they truly in alignment with who you are at your core?
- Trust Your Intuition: Spiritual personality typing encourages you to trust your inner wisdom. If something doesn’t resonate with your soul, it’s likely not part of your truth. Learning to listen to your intuition helps you uncover what feels truly authentic to you.
Is What We Know To Really Be Our Truth? Or IsThe Real Truth Within You?
In the end, the truth we think we know may not be our own at all. It may be a product of our conditioning, our environment, and our experiences. But when we dig deeper—beyond the layers of ego and learned behavior—we begin to uncover the true essence of who we are. The soul’s role in personality typing helps us understand that our truth is connected to something much larger than ourselves—the universal energies that guide our souls on their journey.
So, is what we know to be our truth really our own? Perhaps not entirely. But by tapping into the deeper currents of spiritual energy, we can start to align with a truth that is uniquely ours, a truth that transcends the limits of the ego and connects us to the vastness of the universe.
